We encourage you to read the declaration carefully, as it contains important information about how we handle your personal data.

Sensitive personal data must not be sent by e-mail.

We draw your attention to the fact that regular e-mail is unencrypted. We therefore do not encourage you to send confidential, sensitive or other confidential information via e-mail.

2. Central terms

Personal data is information that alone or together with other information can be used to identify, locate or contact a person. Examples of personal data are name, telephone number and IP address.

Processing of personal data involves all forms of handling of personal data such as: collection, analysis, registration and storage.

The controller is the person who determines the purpose of the processing of personal data and which information is requested. It is the data controller who is responsible for the handling of your personal data in accordance with the applicable Personal Data Act.

3. What information do we store about you?

We only store necessary and relevant information about our current and former customers.

This means that if you contact us (via telephone, e-mail or contact form) with the aim of purchasing a product or service, we will store certain personal data about you. For existing customers, we will also be able to store information related to the service we deliver to you and invoicing.

For example, we will store information such as

Telephone number
Which business you are acting on behalf of
Current industry
Current website address of your business
Information about which products and services you want to buy – or have bought.
Other relevant information / questions you give us in the purchase process or as part of an enquiry.
In addition, we will be able to store technical information: which web address you use to access our websites, your IP address and user behaviour, browser type, language and information about the operating system.

4. The purpose of the processing of the personal data?

The information we store about you is used for the following purposes:

 Deliver services you have ordered from us, as well as invoicing (existing customers)
Dispatch of requested offers, as well as follow-up of these (potential customers)
To satisfy requirements for documentation according to, for example, the Bookkeeping Act. (existing and former customers)
Adapt our website to the technical equipment you use

We do not send out sales or marketing information to current or potential customers. 

5. Consent to email correspondence and further contact

When you consent to us processing your personal data in accordance with the above-mentioned purposes, you consent to the following:

We process your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy
We may contact you by e-mail or telephone to maintain our customer relationship with you.

6. How long is the information stored?

We process/use your personal data only as long as the purpose of the collection/storage is still relevant. We then delete them without you having to contact us.

This will specifically mean:

Current customers: As long as you are an active customer with us, we will save information about your customer relationship, service history and payment information.
Former customers: For former customers, we save certain information about your customer relationship for up to 2 years from the last active dialogue. This is to ensure that we can answer any questions you may have afterwards, as well as make it possible for you to easily return to us as a customer.

Potential customers: We save information about our potential customers for up to 1 year from the last contact. This is to be able to reactivate previous offers from us.

If your employment in a company with which we have a customer relationship ends, you yourself are responsible for notifying us so that we can delete your information. However, if we become aware of this, we will delete your information ourselves.

7. Who has access to your information?

Registered information will be available to a limited number of people in the business. Our guides (who work directly with you) will have access to certain information that they need to carry out their work. In addition, our accountant will have access to necessary and relevant information in connection with bookkeeping.

 Information relating to statistics and user behavior on our website is anonymized and cannot be linked to you personally.

 We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

8. Where is the information stored?

We store our customer information locally on our own servers on Saltfjellet and in Bodø. We also use a well known and reputable cloud service. 

We also have a data processing agreement with an IT supplier who supplies services in connection with the operation of our website: www.saltfjellsami.com These have servers in Stavanger. 

9. Your rights regarding access and erasure

 You have the right to receive information about what information we have about you. You can

also demand that we correct incorrect information or delete your information.

 If you wish to withdraw a previously given consent, get an overview of stored information, make corrections or delete information, you are welcome to get in touch.

10. Cookies

Cookies are text files that are placed on your computer when you download a website. We use cookies to give you a better user experience on our pages.
